Holiday 1 - From Tanjung Bira to Samalona Island Adventures!!

Haloo..
So I'd like to share about my adventure these past three days for long weekend.
Originally, Dara -my adventure partner- and I planned to visit Bali to kick off our adventure program (we plan to regularly visit beautiful places in Indonesia later).
However, a week before our schedule to visit Bali, we got the news that Mount Agung erupted, which lead to the closing of Lombok & Ngurah Rai Airport.
Even though We feel disappointed to not being able to visit Bali this time, We also feel concerned to what happen to people around Mt.Agung. As I write this post right now, the news said that Mt.Agung is ready to break out its lava any time soon. Praying for the best to all refugees, and best & speedy  recovery after this condition.

Because we already booked the ticket 3 weeks before, and Dara & I desperately need holiday, we decided we will continue our plan to escape the routine!
After an impulsive decision making, we choose Makassar as the first place!
We're so excited for this last-minute plan changing.

It's D-3 before our scheduled flight to Bali, before we started to re-reoute our flight ticket.
Fortunately the additional payment of the rerouting ticket was a lot cheaper than we thought :')
Oh, and also if you plan to go on vacation in peak season, then I recommend you should try Traveloka promo Flight ticket + Hotel, because I think it's the best deal you could get instead of book them separately!!

We depart on Friday, 1st Dec 2017, with Citilink first flight 04.30 am from Soekarno Hatta Airport.
We arrived in Sultan Hasanuddin Airport around 7.30 am.

Our First destination is Coto Makassar Nusantara. It's still AM and we already ate meat :'')
Coto Makassar for me is really good! We ate it with Ketupat.
I didn't expect to be that full with only one tiny bowl of Coto Makassar + 1 Ketupat :)
While Mba-Mba beside us finished with 3 Ketupats #lol

After breakfast, we continued the trip to Tanjung Bira on around 9 AM.
Estimated travel time to Bira is around 4-5 hours by car. So We arrived on 3 PM in Tanjung Bira.

I can say that Tanjung Bira is soooo beautiful...!!!
The sand is so bright, i can not say if it is white, the sea is blue diamond, the wave is so shy to greet your feet, the coral stranded in the seashore wake you up (because it hurts if you dont wear sandals lol).

In Tanjung Bira We stay in Marcel Guest House. Because We book it in the same day (1st Dec 2017) and other places are aleady full :''). Marcel guest house is recommended if you have limited budget but still prefer the closest place from the beach.

We enjoy the view in Tanjung Bira till the sun set. It's around 6 PM when we decided to find the closest restaurant to enjoy the magic moment when the sun light disappear from earth :)
We found Hakuna Matata restaurant at the far left of Tanjung Bira beach. We ordered the spiciest food they served, some fresh juice, and rest our feet there.

The clouds were so thick that time, and the sun hides behind them, so we don't get the full view like the sun set in the film. However the view was still breath-taking.

#sunset #NoFilter
So we stayed in Hakuna Matata for awhile, chit chatting, enjoying the view, the music from somewhere. Until suddenly the rain was poring hard and the small storm came :''(
It's a little bit scary though so we moved to inside restaurant and stay a little bit longer before decided to go back to our room!

The thing is, it's December ladies and gentlemen!! It means that it's raining season and actually not a good plan to go to the beach. However, as you know as my story begins, it hasn't rain yet :''')
So that night is the first rain in the day. We pray that tomorrow the weather is good again :)

The next morning, we went back to Makassar city, - another 4 hours long car ride - , on around 6.30am. We arrived at 10.30 AM in Makassar starving, so of course the next destination is culinary tour. We tried Konro Bakar + Konro Soup in Konro Karebosi. It's 11/10!! It's so good it brings happiness you deserve :'')

After recharged our belly, we went to Fort de Rotterdam, photo hunting while digesting our high calories brunch :''') Finished photo hunting, we went to Masjid Terapung to pray. The masjid is sooo beautiful. I really like the round white lamp!

Our next destination is Samalona Islands!! It took about 20 min from the dock to the island. Samalona island is sooo beautiful. Again, we only do photo hunting there, because we plan to not do snorkeling in this trip. so we just chill in the island then take smore photos >.<
It was around 1 hour after our visit, Bella Saphira's group, you know the artist, arrived and "took over" the land. What I mean with took over is, because the crew is soooo many, and there brought so many things : gallons, chairs, banana, more chairs, luggage, everything! So after the first hectic crew's arrival, we went back to the land.

Next thins is we clean ourselves after the long trip :") And prepare to have fancy dinner at On20 Bar & Dining Sky Lounge. We ordered some foods and enjoyed the sky view of Makassar city in the night. Enough with the delicious food and some desserts, we continue to visit Pantai Lossari.
It was so crowded, seems like the local also like to hang out there on Saturday Night.

We met with Dara's friend there. And continue chit chatting there until 11.30pm. We're too tired and decided to leave and have some rest at our hotel Grand Celino.

We checked out the next morning to catch 10.50 flight to Jakarta!
Even though the trip is a little bit too tight, however I'm still happy and content!!

We plan to go to Tanjung Lesung, Banten, on February 2018, and to Derawan on March 2018 >.<
Therefore, Please look forward to my next trip!!!

Kiss from Tanjung Bira.
