Feeling Not-So-Romantic at Romansa
Hey, happy 2019 everyone :)
Another year passed and i hope everyone can have an exciting and blissful year ahead.
Anyway today i'd like to share my experience at Romansa, a caffe located in Menteng.
Here are everything You'd definitely like to know before you decide to visit it :
ROMANSA (Rate 3.85/5)
1. The Service (4/5)
When I arrive, the staff is ready to help to open the door.. It's a little gesture but enough to make me, as the guest, feel special and respected. It's one of the aspects. And the staffs are, notable very friendly. They show me the way to the seat when they saw me a little bit lost, well the place is not big actually, it's just me that is stupid enough can not comprehend the direction. YES EVEN INDOOR :(
2. The Taste (3/5)
To summarise, the food and beverage is OK. Not my favourite, just Okey and edible :)
I Ordered Nasi Goreng Minang and Ice Latte. As a minang fella, the nasi goreng minang is not what i expected. It's not like Nasi Goreng Surya, which is full of Fried Dendeng and is very spicy.
Nasi Goreng Minang Romanca is not too spicy, even though i've requested it to be, combined with anchovy, petai, and the usual egg, lalapan, and kerupuk merah.
The Ice Latte is quite good, i love it. Well it's my first coffee that day, i don't know if that affects my judgement or not :)
But anyway, i'll order Ice Latte again for sure if i ever visit it in the future.
3. The Price (4/5)
This is what you'd really want to know right?
Well because my friend treated me that time, i can't tell the price for what i ordered. But i think the price is really affordable.

4. The Ambience (4/5)
First i'd like to bring to your attention that the place is not too big.
If you want to visit it with big group of people, i suggest you to book the table first.
Secondly, if you happen to visit it when one of the visitor is the big group, you might want to find another place :''')
Because the place is not too big, so it will be very noisy and not comfortable at all, your mood to eat will be totally ruined. Well it happened to me actually. But fortunately, the group is about to leave, so i can eat in peace.
That's about the size of the cafe.
Then i want to share their trademark, the stairways toheaven hell. It is a narrow stairs, that will make you dizzy.
Aside from the curse stairways, i really enjoy the writings and or paintings on their wall :)

5. The Unique (5/5)
The unique thing from Romansa, is their commitment to reduce the usage of plastic straw. Romansa replace the plastic straw with a recycle-able straw made of carton (i think).
As you aware that plastic is one of component that can't be recycled. And tragically, Indonesia is one of the biggest contributor of plastic waste in the world.
So this little act is what i really adored from Romansa. Keep it up guys :)
So, in my conclusion, Romansa is a good place when you want to catch up with some old friends, having small talk with your colleague, or when you just want to be focus alone doing your work.
And if you have the leisure opportunity, even if for once, please visit Romansa and spread the "Stop using Plastic Straw" awareness to your circle.
